200,000 Gallons of High Expansion Foam Storage – New Boeing MRO Facility at Cecil Airport

Project Description:

A new 370,000-square-foot facility is taking shape on the west side of Jacksonville, Florida, that will be home to the “first digitally enabled” maintenance repair and overhaul site, according to Boeing Global Services CEO Ted Colbert.

As a part of this build, Tanks Direct was contracted to furnish the fire protection plan for this facility in the form of an impressive ten 20,000-gallon Xerxes by Shawcor storage tanks totaling a combined 200,000 gallons of protection. These underground tanks are double-wall foam collection fiberglass tanks with the specific use of storing high-expansion foam.

Additionally, Tanks Direct is in the works to supply four underground Highguard oil/water separators with a combined hold of 16,000 gallons. These double-wall carbon steel tanks will work to remove harmful substances safely from the facility.
