The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) required a reliable brine collection system at the Salem District Airport to support snow and ice road treatment operations. The solution needed to be durable, efficient, and capable of handling the demanding conditions of winter weather response.

Tanks Direct furnished and installed a 10,000-gallon Xerxes double-wall fiberglass storage tank with all related features and accessories. The tank was designed to store saltwater brine, which is applied to roads before and during winter storms to prevent ice accumulation and improve driver safety.
